I was temping at a tech company. My job was basically to be their mascot on occasion and make myself useful. Needless to say, I got bored quickly. Not sure if I'm gonna stay much longer.
Anyway… the person I sorta kinda report to there asked me to see what was trending on twitter for the Superbowl. I hate doing anything myself. Naturally, I wanted to farm this job out to python.
Here's a link to the twitter scraper I built. https://github.com/alexschwartzburg/TwitterScraper/blob/main/Scraper.py
Until very recently, this was useful. Two things happened:
1. Nobody uses twitter anymore.
2. Elon Musk took over and now there's a paywall.
So sad…
Anyways, you'll need to contend with their lock and key, but the scraper does work.
